Raven Terms of Service & End User License Agreement

These Terms are a binding agreement between you and Ask Raven LLC, a New York limited liability company doing business as Raven ("Raven," "we," "us") governing your use of the Raven mobile application (the "App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Raven, and by using the App you represent that you are. We ask for your date of birth when you create an account and refuse the account if you are under 18. Raven recommends events at venues that may serve alcohol and enforce their own age restrictions (commonly 18+ or 21+); admission requirements are set by the venue and verified at the door, not by Raven. If we learn or reasonably believe that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will close it.

2. Your account

You're responsible for your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Provide accurate information and keep it current. You may delete your account at any time.

3. License

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your own non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and Apple's standard EULA terms. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell, or scrape the App or its content except as allowed by law.

4. Event information — no guarantee

Events, venues, artists, promoters, dates, line-ups, and prices shown in Raven are aggregated from publicly available third-party sources. We do not guarantee they are accurate, complete, current, or available. Always confirm details with the official organizer before making plans or purchases. Raven is not responsible for third-party event changes, cancellations, or errors.

5. Tickets

Raven helps you discover events and may link you to third-party ticket sellers. Raven does not sell tickets and is not a party to, and has no responsibility for, any ticket purchase, which is governed solely by the third-party seller's terms.

6. Your content and other users

Some of what you put in Raven is shown to other users. Your handle, display name, pronouns and profile photo are visible to anyone signed in to Raven, and your handle, display name and photo can be seen by anyone on the web through your profile link, askraven.app/u/your-handle. Comments you post on an event are visible to anyone signed in to Raven, with your handle, display name and photo. Other users also see the connections you have in common. Users you are connected with see your connections, and the events you are going to or have liked. A note you add to a connection request is shown to the person you send it to. If you tag a raver in a comment or reply to their comment, they are notified with your display name and the start of your comment.

Your conversations with Raven, your taste preferences and your age are not shown to other users.

You are responsible for the content you share, and you keep ownership of it. You grant Raven a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, store, process and display it to other users as the App's features allow, and to analyze it in aggregate, for the purpose of operating and improving the service. The license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we keep, and comments that stay without your name, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Content you share must follow our Community Guidelines. Don't share content that is unlawful, infringing, or that impersonates someone else. We may refuse, remove or hide content, and limit or end accounts, that break these Terms or the Guidelines.

6a. Safety: screening, reporting and blocking

Raven has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users.

Screening. Comments and connection request notes are checked by automated rules and an AI model before anyone else sees them. Text that fails the check, or that cannot be checked, is not posted or delivered. You can edit it, and a connection request can still be sent without a note. We keep refused text for a limited time for safety review, as described in our Privacy Policy. No automated check suspends or bans an account; a person makes that decision.

Reporting. You can report a user from their profile, and a comment from the comment itself. Reports are private: we never tell the person you reported who reported them. A person reviews every report. We review reports within 24 hours and give priority to reports about someone's safety. Reporting a user also blocks them for you.

Blocking. You can block any user. You and the blocked user stop seeing each other in search, on profiles, in comments and in requests, cannot tag each other, and any pending request or connection between you ends. We do not tell the other person. You can unblock at any time.

What we do about it. Content that breaks these Terms or the Community Guidelines is removed, and the user who posted it may be warned, suspended or permanently banned, depending on how serious and how repeated the violation is. Content that sexually exploits minors, and credible threats of violence, lead to a permanent ban and may be reported to the authorities. We may hide content or a profile while a report about it is being reviewed. If you think we got a decision wrong, email support@askraven.app and a person will look at it again.

7. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the App: no scraping or automated access, no interfering with the service, no circumventing security, no impersonation, no using Raven for unlawful purposes. Don't harass, threaten or deceive other users, don't use Raven to buy, sell or source drugs, and don't try to reach someone who has blocked you through another account.

8. Intellectual property

The App, Raven branding, and our original content are owned by Raven and protected by law. Third-party event content belongs to its respective owners.

9. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don't warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that event data is accurate.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Raven is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any losses arising from third-party events, tickets, or content. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or USD 100 if you paid nothing).

11. Termination

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms. This includes the steps described in section 6a. If we ban your account, you may not create a new one.

12. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York, unless mandatory local law gives you other rights.

13. Apple App Store terms

This App is licensed, not sold. Apple is not a party to these Terms and has no obligation to provide support or handle claims relating to the App. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them. You agree to comply with Apple's standard EULA and App Store Terms of Service.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms; we'll post the new effective date and notify you of material changes in-app. Continued use means acceptance.
