Raven Community Guidelines

Raven is for discovering electronic-music events in New York, and for finding the people you go with. Other users can see your profile and your comments and, once you are connected, the events you are going to. These rules apply to everything you share: your profile, your comments, your request notes and anything you post later.

Raven has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users.

Not allowed

  • Harassment: threats, bullying, or unwanted contact after someone has said no.
  • Hate: attacks on people for who they are, including race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation or disability.
  • Spam: repeated, bulk or commercial messages, ticket scams, and fake engagement.
  • Drugs: selling or sourcing drugs, or asking others to.
  • Sexual content: explicit content, or sexual advances nobody asked for.
  • Impersonation: pretending to be another person, artist, promoter or venue.
  • Private information: sharing someone's address, phone number or real name against their will.
  • Underage: Raven is 18+. No accounts for anyone under 18, and never any content that sexualizes minors.
  • Self harm: content that encourages or glorifies self harm or suicide.
  • Anything else that is unlawful or puts other users at risk.

Swearing, honest criticism of an event, an artist or a venue, and talk about nights out are all fine.

Also

  • Use Raven to find and attend events, not for anything unlawful.
  • Don't scrape the catalogue, and don't interfere with the service for other people.

Report and block

On any profile, tap ⋯ to report or block. On any comment, press and hold to report it or to block the person who wrote it. Reports are private, a person reviews them within 24 hours, and the person you report is never told it was you. Reporting a profile also blocks that user for you. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.

What happens when the rules are broken

Comments and request notes are checked before anyone else sees them, and text that fails the check is not posted. Content that breaks the rules is removed. The person who posted it may be warned, suspended or permanently banned. If you think we got it wrong, email support@askraven.app and a person will look at it again.

If something is wrong

Event, venue, and artist listings are aggregated from public third-party sources, so they are sometimes inaccurate, out of date, or offensive. Tell us at support@askraven.app and we will correct or remove the listing. We read every message and act on it.
